The skirts are being worn mostly in all parts of India and around the
world, as a casual and comfort clothing. In India skirts are known by
different names, depending on a region's style, but mostly known name
for the skirt is 'Ghaghara'. Constantly changing trends and fashion
influences have transformed these simple looking garments into dramatic,
full paneled skirts. Along with regional differences, variations have
evolved that include different lengths, number of panels, as well as
shape. Voluminous ghaghra skirts can use up to 20 meters of fabric.
